Subliminal Songs Reviewed
Any search online will bring up a multitude of subliminal songs. i.e. songs with subliminal messages in them.
You can find anything from classics such as the Led Zeppelin stairway to heaven subliminal messages to the modern popstarts such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Justin Timberlake using them.
There is debate whether musicians intentionally put subliminal messages in their music or whether it is purely a coincidence. Most musicians straight out deny using them. However after listening to these songs in reverse there are some really obvious subliminal suggestions which stand out from the music / other voices. Messages which sound just too clear to be a coincidence.
The craze for recording / finding subliminal messages in songs started way back in 1967 with the release of Led Zeppelins track “Stairway to Heaven” Within this video there were alleged to be subliminal messages around the chorus section where the line starts “so there's a bushell in your hedgerow”. People played the song in reverse and found a message saying “Here's to my Sweet Satan”. This caused public outcry, and condemnation from the church – of course Led Zep denied everything.
But their denial didn't matter, a new phenomenon was born: subliminal backmasking in songs!
People started looking for messages, while more artists started putting them in their music. Subliminals have since been found in:
Britney Spears – telling people “sleep with me I’m not too young” in her first single.
Nirvana – saying “I hate you” in Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Tupac – claiming to be still alive.
Queen – promoting the use of Marijuana.
Lady Gaga – saying “have sex” in her debut single.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, musicians have been doing this for nearly 40 years! There are thousands of examples spanning all styles of music! To watch all these videos and more visit our subliminal video blog and view the entire subliminal songs collection.
